Help us to raise public awareness about the growth of two-tier healthcare
CHPI is asking for your support to help create a healthier future for all by raising awareness on the consequences of a two-tier system.
The NHS ideal of healthcare for all irrespective of income, is under threat.
A two-tier system is emerging, where access to healthcare is increasingly determined by wealth, not need.
This is a stark departure from the founding principles of the NHS: a universal, free at the point of use healthcare system.
The reality of a two-tier healthcare system
Private Profit, Public Cost: The private sector is exploiting the underfunding of the NHS, profiting from the fact that the NHS is not able to meet the needs of the population.
Inequality in Access: Wealthier individuals who can pay are able to access faster care while poorer people face longer waiting lists and reduced access to essential services.
Eroding the NHS: The outsourcing of NHS care to the private sector and the underfunding of the NHS means it is being stripped of resources and skilled staff, impacting the quality of care for all.

Why now?
The UK's healthcare system is facing unprecedented challenges due to a decade of underfunding on top of the long-term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, rising inflation, and a changing population.
Unless we properly invest in the NHS these challenges threaten to exacerbate existing inequalities and further undermine public health.
Now is the time to advocate for bold and decisive action to protect the health and wellbeing of every member of the population irrespective of their wealth or income.
